Job purpose

• Responsible for timely and accurate loading, delivery, assembly of systems and case goods furniture.

Duties and responsibilities
• This is a physically demanding position that requires light (20 pounds) to very heavy lifting (excessive of 100 pounds) daily.
• Read blueprints and assemble per supplied installation drawing.
• Must understand how to read product labels, assembly instructions for multiple product lines and vendors and company delivery/install worksheets.
• Must have an understanding and ability to use power tools.
• Product loading and unloading, inspect for and report shortages/damages daily
• Deliver/Install furniture or products.
• Report any defects, damages, and/or shortages of product to Lead, PM or OPS Mgr.
• Complete final walk thru with customer and Lead Furniture Technician to minimize post-install follow up
• Separate cardboard from trash at site and dispose of prior to returning to warehouse.
• Be sure truck or van has fuel for the next day.
• Unload clean cab and box of truck upon return to warehouse.
• Final clean, wipe down, trash removal, vacuum and remove all equipment when installation is complete
• Attach a copy of workorder for any product being returned to Asset Management.
• Communicate with customer upon arrival, during, and completion of day or installation to let them know status and sign off.
• Return daily folder with delivery tickets to the appropriate office dispatch member.
• Enter hours in mobile Hedberg or paper timesheet after each delivery (check with lead installer).
• Note discrepancies/problems with delivery on DT.
• Note on Delivery Tickets product being returned to Van Epps.
• Return product to RPA staging area and notify Delivery Coordinator or Project Manager.
• Leave copy of paperwork with product.

Qualifications

Education
High School diploma or equivalent

Skills
• Read blueprints and assemble per supplied installation drawing.
• Must understand how to read product labels, assembly instructions for multiple product lines and vendors and company delivery/install worksheets.
• Must have an understanding and ability to use power tools.

Valid Driver License required.

Working conditions
• The position will require the incumbent to travel to customer locations within the region.
• The ability to travel overnight occasionally and/or be in the car for long periods of time.

Physical requirements
This position is a physically demanding position that requires light (20 pounds) to very heavy lifting (excessive of 100 pounds) daily. It requires frequent bending, squatting, reaching, twisting body, or lifting. Hearing to perceive the nature of sounds for the installed equipment, far and near sightedness and finger dexterity to manipulate products and read blueprints.
